Privacy policy
This policy covers the Connor: Citizenship Test AU app and this website, citizenshiptestquiz.com.au. Connor is made by Karri Apps in Perth, Western Australia ("we"). We follow the Australian Privacy Principles. The short version: you do not create an account, and your study record stays on your phone.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts.
- The free practice test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or saved.
- Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to identify you.
- If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use it only to reply.
What stays on your phone
The optional setup answers (support language, country of birth, age band), your practice answers, mock scores, saved questions, reminders, question reports you have not sent, and the separate record for a second person on the same phone are stored only in the app on your device. We do not receive them. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no advertising or tracking software in the app
- No sale or sharing of personal information
- No location, contacts or photos
- No recording of your voice. If you answer by voice, the phone's own speech recognition is used for that answer
- No visa, immigration or eligibility profile
Payments
Full access is bought through Google Play, which handles the payment under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not see your card details. The app receives a confirmation that you own full access so it can unlock and restore it.
Ask Connor
Ask Connor, the study guide chat, runs on your phone. What you type to him stays on your phone and is not sent to us or anyone else. The chat is cleared when you close the app. If we ever add online answers, we will update this policy and say so in the app before it is switched on.
Reporting a question
If you tap Report this question, the app opens your own email app with the report filled in, and you choose whether to send it. If the app has no support address set, the report stays on your phone until you choose to send it.
Children
Connor is a study aid for adults preparing for the citizenship test. It is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights and contact
You can ask what personal information we hold about you (for most people: only emails you have sent us), ask us to correct it or delete it. Email [email protected]. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
